Campania · Amalfi Coast
Charter a yacht at Positano — day cruises along the Amalfi Coast and weekly itineraries.

Positano is built vertically into the cliff and was designed, in effect, to be looked at from the water. That is why the photograph everyone takes is from a boat, and why a charter here is less about getting somewhere than about having the best seat.
Positano sits roughly in the middle of the Amalfi Coast, which makes it an unusually good starting point: Capri is west, Amalfi and Ravello east, and the coves of the Sorrentine peninsula are twenty minutes away.
The classic day runs west to Nerano and the Bay of Ieranto for swimming and lunch — Lo Scoglio at Marina del Cantone is the benchmark and needs booking well ahead — then back along the cliffs in the late light.
Laurito, immediately east of the town, has a beach restaurant reachable only by sea. Fornillo is quieter than the main beach. Further out, Cala di Mitigliano and the Li Galli islets are within half an hour and see a fraction of the traffic.
The Fiordo di Furore, ten minutes east, is a cleft in the cliff so narrow it looks staged. There is no anchorage inside, which is exactly why it still looks as it does.
